Buttero Leather Mouse Pad in Chestnut

We chose to use a premium grade Buttero leather in a Chestnut Brown colourway, embracing it’s naturally smooth matt surface, in a thickness needed for a mat designed for durability and comfort despite heavy use.

Buttero is a 100% pure vegetable tanned full grain leather, taken from the strongest upper layer of the hide. The leather is not sanded, buffed or snuffed, keeping imperfections intact to create an incredibly strong and entirely natural material for refined craftsmanship.

Our Buttero leather is vegetable tanned in Tuscany, Italy, a truly artisan tradition that the Tuscan tanneries have held onto dearly for centuries. The colours enhanced through the vegetable tanning process give the leather an unmistakably warm and brilliant shade that becomes more intense with time and daily use.

The patina that develops over time is a natural process achieved through age, use, and exposure to sunlight. This gives opportunity for your leather to create a non replicable character, revealing the signs of time and use as the most personal expression.
