Durable By Nature
The Kingston isn’t designed to remain pristine forever.
Waxed canvas naturally changes as it’s carried, developing creases, marks and a unique patina. The leather will also develop its own natural character.
Exposure to weather, movement and everyday use gradually changes each surface, where colour and texture change gradually, creating wear patterns.
Rather than treating these changes as wear to be hidden, we consider them part of the character of a well-used canvas backpack.
Materially Different
The Kingston is built with our signature cotton canvas, densely woven and treated with wax, alongside durable leather detailing.
The result is a strong, weather-resistant fabric that develops character with age.
First used by 16th-century Scottish mariners, waxed canvas has a long history in the outdoors. Its time-tested durability made it a natural fit for us.
